The Mission Continues — Culture Moves Forward

Dear Friends, Partners, and Community Members,

Since mid-September of last year, the World Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion Association and the US–China Culture & Art Exchange Association have remained committed to promoting Chinese intangible cultural heritage within American communities.

In New York, we have successfully organized 8 nonprofit cultural performances and heritage promotion events.

Meanwhile, in Chicago, we brought programs into schools, community centers, churches, and the Park District system, completing 18 additional nonprofit cultural and interactive events.

To date, we have carried out a total of 26 cultural programs across both cities. Of these, only 2 were paid engagements, while the remaining 24 were nonprofit or low-cost public cultural initiatives. All programs were conducted without stable institutional funding, reflecting our continued dedication and financial commitment to cultural preservation.

However, without sustainable funding support, continued operations have become increasingly challenging. Due to current financial constraints and operational costs, we must make the difficult decision to:

Temporarily suspend our New York programs effective immediately.

Additionally, 10 upcoming events previously scheduled in New York and Chicago are no longer able to proceed as planned. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This is not an ending, but a strategic pause.
Meaningful cultural work requires sustainable support systems.

We respectfully invite corporations, foundations, and individuals who share our mission to consider providing financial support or sponsorship. With stable backing, we are prepared to resume and further expand our programs in New York and across the United States.

Detailed information, documentation, partner lists, venue types, and reports for all 26 events are available upon request. We welcome serious partners to contact us for further review.

The 26 community-based cultural initiatives have clearly demonstrated:

There is demand for heritage.
Communities are responsive.
The mission has vitality.

The cultural flame continues — and we look forward to returning stronger.

文化不止步 · 使命仍在前行

尊敬的各位朋友、合作單位及社區夥伴：

自去年9月中旬至今， 世界非物質文化遺產促進會與美中文化藝術交流協會始終秉持公益初心，持續推動中華非物質文化遺產在美國社區的傳播與交流。

在紐約，我們已成功舉辦 8 場公益文化演出與非遺推廣活動。

與此同時，在芝加哥，我們走進學校、社區中心、教會及公園管理局系統，累計完成 18 場公益文化演出與互動推廣活動。

截至目前，兩地共計舉辦 26 場文化推廣活動。其中，僅有 2 場為收費活動，其餘 24 場均為公益性質或低成本文化推廣活動。所有項目均在缺乏固定財政資助的情況下持續投入與承擔，充分體現了我們對文化傳承的責任與堅持。

然而，在長期缺乏穩定資金支持的現實條件下，持續運營已面臨嚴峻挑戰。基於當前資金壓力與整體運營成本的實際情況，我們不得不作出艱難決定：

紐約地區相關活動即日起暫時暫停。

同時，原計劃在紐約與芝加哥繼續開展的 10 場後續活動目前已無法如期進行。對此給各合作單位及社區朋友帶來的不便，我們深表歉意，並懇請理解。

這不是終止，而是階段性的戰略調整。
真正有價值的文化事業，需要更穩定、更可持續的支持體系。

我們誠摯邀請企業、基金會及社會各界人士，如有意提供資金支持或贊助合作，共同推動非遺文化在紐約及全美的發展，我們將積極評估合作方案，並在具備可持續條件的前提下恢復並升級相關項目。
